Why am I receiving a validation error or invalid input message?
A validation error occurs when information submitted to Polyosync does not satisfy the requirements of the relevant operation.
Validation helps prevent incomplete, inconsistent, or incorrectly formatted information from being processed.
Common causes
1. A required field is empty.
2. A value uses an unsupported format.
3. A number falls outside an accepted range.
4. A referenced resource is missing or unavailable.
5. Two configuration values conflict.
6. A required dependency has not been configured.
7. The submitted information does not match the expected structure.
Where might validation errors occur?
Validation errors can appear when configuring AI Employees, creating automations, defining workflows, editing business processes, managing integrations, or updating workspace settings.
How to troubleshoot
Step 1: Read the validation message.
Check whether the interface identifies a particular field or requirement.
Step 2: Review required fields.
Make sure all mandatory information has been provided.
Step 3: Check the expected format.
Dates, times, numbers, identifiers, email addresses, and structured inputs may require specific formats.
Step 4: Review referenced resources.
If the configuration refers to an AI Employee, workflow, integration, or another resource, verify that the referenced item exists and is available in the current workspace.
Step 5: Check dependencies.
Some operations require additional configuration before they can be saved or executed.
Step 6: Submit a controlled correction.
Change the relevant value and try again.
Avoid modifying unrelated settings unless necessary.
What if the input appears valid?
A validation error may still occur because of a requirement that is not immediately obvious.
Record the exact error message and the type of information being submitted.
When to contact Support
