What types of information can Polyosync AI Employees remember?

Polyosync supports multiple types of persistent memory, allowing AI Employees to retain relevant business and customer context rather than treating every interaction as an isolated event. The platform distinguishes between Business Memory and customer-related persistent AI Employee memory. Business Memory Business Memory is designed to maintain durable information relevant to company operations. Supported categories include business facts, preferences, policies, processes, instructions, and customer patterns. For example, a business may store an internal approval policy, a preferred operating procedure, or an important instruction that should remain relevant across supported activities. These memories can be organized at business level or associated with a particular AI Employee. Customer-related AI Employee memory Polyosync also includes a persistent memory mechanism for supported customer interactions. This mechanism supports categories such as customer facts, preferences, relationships, decisions, commitments, interaction outcomes, issues, communication preferences, and product preferences. For example, a customer may have expressed a preference for a particular product category or communication approach. When that information is appropriate to retain and is successfully stored, the relevant AI Employee may be able to retrieve it in a later supported interaction. This can help provide continuity in customer relationships. Does Polyosync remember everything a customer says? No. The customer memory mechanism is designed to identify and retain selected relevant information, not automatically preserve every message as a permanent memory. Information must pass the applicable validation and storage requirements. Polyosync includes safeguards intended to reject certain sensitive information and suspicious instructions from persistent memory. Can memories have different importance levels? Yes. Business Memory supports importance levels that help distinguish ordinary context from more significant information. Customer-related persistent memory also includes importance and confidence information. Does memory remain available forever? Not necessarily. Supported memory records can have expiration information, active status, and other lifecycle attributes. An inactive or expired memory should not be treated as automatically available for future retrieval. Why does this matter for businesses? A sales assistant may benefit from remembering a relevant customer preference. An internal operations assistant may need to retain a standing company instruction. A customer service AI agent may need continuity concerning an unresolved issue. These are different memory requirements. Polyosync provides structured memory capabilities so businesses can use AI agents for recurring responsibilities and ongoing customer interactions, rather than relying only on short-lived chatbot conversations.
