Why is my automation unable to use an integration or external tool?

An automation may be unable to use an integration or external tool if the connection is unavailable, the required permissions are missing, the requested action is unsupported, or the external service rejects the operation. Polyosync connects AI-powered workflows with supported business tools, but every external action must operate within the applicable access and configuration boundaries. What can cause an integration-related failure? Several factors may be involved: - The integration is not connected or configured correctly. - Authentication credentials have expired or become invalid. - The assigned AI Employee does not have access to the required capability. - The requested operation is not supported by the integration. - Required input information is missing or invalid. - The external service is unavailable or has returned an error. - An action requires approval before it can proceed. How can I troubleshoot the issue? Start by identifying the affected integration and the action the automation attempted to perform. Review the available execution details and check the integration's connection status. Confirm that the relevant AI Employee has permission to use the required tool. If the integration depends on an external application, verify that the external account remains active and authorized. Does connecting an application automatically give every AI Employee access to it? No. Access to connected capabilities is subject to the relevant workspace, configuration, and authorization rules. Businesses should configure AI Employees according to the responsibilities they are expected to perform. Can Polyosync guarantee that external services will always be available? No. External services can experience outages, authentication problems, rate limits, or other restrictions outside Polyosync's control. Polyosync's integration and execution framework helps businesses incorporate supported external systems into automated workflows while maintaining appropriate access boundaries.
