What happens when I clear operational data from a Polyosync workspace?

Polyosync includes a workspace data-clearing operation that can permanently remove operational information from a workspace. This is a destructive administrative action and should be approached with particular caution. Clearing operational data is different from disconnecting integrations or cancelling a subscription. What information can be removed? The workspace data-clearing operation identifies the following categories of operational information for deletion: 1. AI employees. 2. Conversations. 3. Messages. 4. Leads. 5. Customers. 6. Bookings. 7. Human handoffs. 8. Notifications. 9. Knowledge. 10. Action history. 11. Related operational data. The precise affected records depend on the implemented data-clearing operation. What information is retained? The confirmation interface states that the following are retained: 1. The account. 2. Business profile. 3. Billing and subscription information. 4. Connected integrations. Connected integrations are not automatically disconnected by this operation. Is clearing operational data reversible? No. The interface explicitly warns that the operation cannot be undone. Do I need to confirm the action? Yes. The interface requires confirmation before proceeding with the destructive operation. Should I use this option to troubleshoot an integration? No. Clearing operational data is not a routine troubleshooting step. An integration problem should be investigated directly rather than attempting to resolve it through permanent deletion of workspace information. Will clearing data cancel the Enterprise contract? No. The operation is distinct from Enterprise billing and contractual management. Does it disconnect external applications? No. The confirmation interface states that connected integrations are retained. What should I do before clearing a workspace? Step 1: Confirm that the correct workspace is selected. Step 2: Identify the business reason for deleting the information. Step 3: Review the categories of data that will be removed. Step 4: Determine whether any information must be retained for operational, contractual, or legal reasons. Step 5: Review any applicable retention requirements. Step 6: Obtain appropriate internal authorization. Step 7: Confirm that the organization understands the irreversible consequences. Step 8: Proceed only when permanent deletion is intended. Important considerations Deleting workspace operational data may affect existing business processes, AI employee configurations, and historical operational visibility. Organizations should not assume that deleted information can be recovered. If you are uncertain about the scope or consequences of the operation, contact Polyosync Support before proceeding. Recommended approach Use workspace data clearing only when permanent removal of the relevant operational information is explicitly intended and authorized.
