How are Enterprise Organizations and their workspaces structured?

Polyosync Enterprise supports an organization-level structure in which a business can operate through a main workspace and, where configured, additional workspaces. This structure helps businesses separate operational responsibilities while maintaining centralized organization-level management. Main organization workspace The main organization workspace acts as the central environment for organization-level administration. For Enterprise billing, the main workspace is the billing owner. The Enterprise contract applies at the organization level rather than requiring each child workspace to maintain an independent subscription. Additional workspaces Additional workspaces can be used to represent different operational areas within the organization. For example, an Enterprise Organization might be structured around: 1. Sales. 2. Customer Support. 3. Finance. 4. Human Resources. 5. Operations. 6. Marketing. 7. IT. 8. Management. These are illustrative organizational structures rather than mandatory workspace templates. A company can determine an appropriate structure based on its operational requirements and Enterprise configuration. Why separate workspaces? Separate workspaces help businesses organize activities and establish operational boundaries. For example, a Finance team may require different access and operational responsibilities from a Customer Support team. Workspace separation should be combined with appropriate permissions and organization-level policies. Does every workspace require a separate subscription? No. Under the Enterprise organization billing model, the contract covers the Enterprise Organization, and child workspaces do not maintain separate subscriptions. This is different from treating every department as an independently billed business account. Does every user automatically access every workspace? No such access should be assumed. Access depends on the user's assigned permissions and the organization's configuration. How should a company plan its workspace structure? Before configuring an Enterprise Organization, identify: 1. The departments or business units that need access. 2. The people responsible for administration. 3. The operational activities assigned to each workspace. 4. The AI employees required by each team. 5. The integrations needed for different operations. 6. The information and resources that must remain separated. 7. The business processes that require coordination. 8. The contractual and capacity requirements. Can an organization expand its structure? Enterprise requirements can evolve over time. Changes to workspace structure, capacity, or enabled functionality should be reviewed against the organization's existing configuration and contractual terms. Summary The Enterprise Organization provides the central business structure, while its workspaces provide operational environments for the teams and activities included in the Enterprise arrangement.
