Can Polyosync AI Employees do more than answer questions?

Yes. Polyosync is designed for businesses that want AI agents to support real operational activities, not only answer questions in a chat interface. Answering questions is one possible responsibility of an AI Employee, but Polyosync also provides capabilities for automation, autonomous workflows, AI collaboration, business processes, and supported integrations. This means businesses can explore AI systems that participate in work rather than functioning exclusively as conversational assistants. Customer communication An AI Employee can be configured to answer customer questions using relevant business information. This is useful for routine enquiries, but it is only one potential application. Sales and lead-related activities AI Employees can support configured sales-related activities, including customer enquiries and the collection or handling of relevant information. Where supported, these activities can be associated with broader business workflows. Automated tasks Polyosync includes an Automations module for defined, repeatable activities. This allows businesses to organize supported operations that do not need to be handled manually every time. Autonomous workflows Polyosync includes Autonomous Workflows, which support configured operations involving a degree of autonomous execution. These workflows are distinct from a simple chatbot conversation because they are designed around operational tasks and execution behavior. Business processes Polyosync provides Business Processes functionality for organizing and executing supported business activities. This allows organizations to structure work around processes rather than relying only on individual AI conversations. Collaboration between AI Employees Polyosync supports collaboration between configured AI Employees. For example, one AI Employee may need assistance from another AI Employee with a different area of responsibility. In a supported collaboration flow, the first AI Employee can delegate work and use the result to continue its task. More structured collaboration can involve coordinated tasks, dependencies, and shared outputs. External integrations Where supported integrations are configured, AI capabilities and workflows can participate in operations involving connected services. The availability of an integration does not automatically grant every AI Employee unrestricted access to that service. Actions depend on the relevant configuration, permissions, and execution controls. Human handoff Some business activities require a person to review information, make a decision, or continue a customer interaction. Polyosync includes intelligent human handoff capabilities for supported scenarios. What does this mean in practice? A business can begin with an AI assistant that answers questions. As its requirements develop, it can explore supported automations, workflows, business processes, and collaboration between multiple AI Employees. This is the distinction between using AI primarily as a chatbot and using AI as part of an operational business platform. Polyosync brings these capabilities together within an AI workforce environment. The specific activities an AI Employee can perform depend on its configuration, available capabilities, integrations, permissions, and subscription.
