Can Internal AI Employees access company information and business systems?

Internal AI Employees can use relevant business information and supported integrations according to their configuration and available permissions. This is an important distinction between a general-purpose AI assistant and an AI Employee configured for internal business operations. An AI Employee becomes more useful when it has access to appropriate context about the work it is expected to support. Business knowledge Polyosync includes business knowledge capabilities that can provide context for supported AI operations. This allows an appropriately configured AI Employee to work with information relevant to the company. For example, an internal AI assistant may need information about business procedures, services, or operational requirements to answer an employee's question accurately. The information must be made available through supported configuration and knowledge mechanisms. External business systems Polyosync supports integrations with external services. Where a relevant integration is available and configured, an AI Employee or associated workflow may be able to participate in operations involving that connected service. The presence of an integration does not automatically grant every AI Employee access to it. The specific actions available depend on the integration, configuration, authorization, and execution controls. Permissions and security An Internal AI Employee should not be treated as having unrestricted access to all company information. Polyosync includes workspace access controls and additional Enterprise permission capabilities. Businesses should configure access according to the responsibilities of the AI Employee and the sensitivity of the information involved. For example, an AI Employee intended to support routine internal enquiries may not require the same operational capabilities as one participating in a more complex business process. Accurate information matters AI-generated responses depend on the available context and are not guaranteed to be correct simply because they come from an Internal AI Employee. Businesses should keep important knowledge current, test relevant scenarios, and apply human oversight where appropriate. The objective is to make AI assistance more useful through authorized business context while maintaining appropriate operational boundaries.
