Can browser developer tools help diagnose a Polyosync error?

Browser developer tools can provide additional diagnostic information when a Polyosync page fails to load, a request returns an error, or an interface action does not behave as expected. These tools are primarily intended for technically experienced users and administrators. You do not need to use developer tools before contacting Polyosync Support. What can developer tools reveal? The browser console may display JavaScript errors or other diagnostic messages. The network panel may show requests that failed, returned an HTTP error, or took longer than expected. These observations can help distinguish browser-side problems from unsuccessful requests to a service. How to inspect a problem 1. Open Polyosync in your browser. 2. Open the browser's developer tools. In many desktop browsers, F12 opens developer tools. 3. Select the Console or Network panel. 4. Reproduce the issue only if doing so is safe. 5. Look for errors corresponding to the action and approximate time. 6. Record the relevant status code, request type, or sanitized error message. What should I avoid? Do not modify application code or execute commands suggested by unknown websites or individuals. Do not disable browser security protections merely to investigate an error. Do not share complete network captures without reviewing their contents. Why is sharing network information sensitive? Network requests may contain: - Authentication tokens. - Session identifiers. - API credentials. - Customer information. - Internal business records. - Other confidential data. These details should not be included in ordinary support tickets. Is a browser console error proof of a Polyosync backend failure? No. A console message may originate from a browser extension, blocked resource, client-side code, or an external dependency. The surrounding context matters. When should I contact Support? If you identify a reproducible issue, provide a short description, affected URL, browser version, approximate timestamp, and sanitized error details. Support can determine whether additional diagnostics are necessary. Only provide more detailed technical material through an approved and appropriate support process.
