What user roles are available in Polyosync Enterprise?

Polyosync Enterprise provides role-based access control to help organizations manage user responsibilities and access to business operations. Role-based access control, commonly known as RBAC, allows organizations to distinguish between different types of users rather than giving everyone the same level of access. Available Enterprise roles The Enterprise team management interface includes six role options: 1. Member 2. Manager 3. AI Admin 4. Security Admin 5. Admin 6. Viewer These roles represent different types of operational and administrative responsibilities. Understanding the roles Member A general role intended for users participating in the organization's business operations. Manager A role intended for users with management responsibilities. AI Admin A role intended for users responsible for AI-related administration. Security Admin A role intended for users with security-related administrative responsibilities. Admin A role intended for broader administrative responsibilities. Viewer A role intended for users whose responsibilities primarily involve viewing information. Important: These descriptions explain the intended purpose of the roles. The exact actions permitted for each role are determined by Polyosync's implemented authorization rules and the relevant workspace configuration. Why does Polyosync provide different roles? Enterprise organizations often include employees with different responsibilities. For example, an employee reviewing operational results may not require the same permissions as someone managing AI employees or changing important workspace settings. Separating these responsibilities helps organizations establish more appropriate access arrangements. How are roles assigned? When inviting a team member, an authorized user can select the appropriate Enterprise role. The invitation configuration can also include information such as the employee's name, email address, and department. Does selecting a role automatically grant access to every workspace? No. Role assignment and workspace membership are separate access considerations. A user should only access the environments and operations authorized by the applicable configuration. Can roles be changed? Role assignments may need to be reviewed when an employee changes responsibilities. Authorized administrators should use the available team management controls to make supported changes. What is the recommended approach? Assign roles based on actual job responsibilities. Avoid granting administrative privileges simply because an employee is senior or frequently uses the platform. Summary Polyosync Enterprise provides six user roles to support differentiated access and administrative responsibilities. Organizations should select roles carefully and verify that the resulting permissions match each employee's operational requirements.
