What user roles are available in Polyosync Enterprise, and how should they be assigned?

Polyosync Enterprise provides role options that help organizations organize user responsibilities and access. The available Enterprise roles include: 1. Member. 2. Manager. 3. AI Admin. 4. Security Admin. 5. Admin. 6. Viewer. These role names indicate different areas of responsibility, but their exact permissions are determined by the implemented authorization rules. What is the purpose of assigning roles? Roles help administrators avoid granting every employee the same level of access. For example, employees responsible for ordinary business operations may have different requirements from users managing AI configurations or security settings. How should an organization choose a role? Step 1: Identify the employee's responsibilities. Determine which activities the employee is expected to perform. Step 2: Identify the required resources. Consider whether the employee needs access to business information, AI Employees, integrations, workflows, or administrative functionality. Step 3: Review the available roles. Choose the role that most closely matches the required responsibilities. Step 4: Avoid unnecessary privileges. Do not assign elevated access simply because an employee has a senior job title. Step 5: Verify access. Confirm that the employee can perform their authorized work without receiving unnecessary permissions. Step 6: Review the assignment. Update roles when responsibilities change. Does the Viewer role automatically mean access to every report? Not necessarily. The precise resources visible to a role depend on the implemented permission rules and the user's business environment. Does AI Admin automatically have full access to the organization? No such assumption should be made. An AI-focused administrative role should be understood within its actual configured permissions. Can Security Admin access every customer's data? An administrative role in one business environment should not be interpreted as authorization to access unrelated customer organizations. What if an employee needs more than one type of responsibility? Review the supported role model and available administrative options. Do not assume that arbitrary combinations of roles are supported unless the interface explicitly provides them. What happens when an employee changes position? An authorized administrator should review the employee's role and remove access that is no longer necessary. Recommended practice Assign roles according to business responsibilities, verify the resulting permissions, and reassess privileged access regularly.
