What is the difference between Owner, Admin, Member, and Viewer?

Owner, Admin, Member, and Viewer are the standard workspace roles used by Polyosync. Owner has the broadest workspace authority. This includes administrative access to the workspace, team management, integrations, and billing, as well as management capabilities for AI Employees and other supported business operations. Admin can manage many workspace functions, including team members, AI Employees, business knowledge, bookings, integrations, and billing. However, the Admin role is not identical to Owner and does not automatically provide every owner-only capability. Member is intended for operational participation. Members can manage supported AI Employee, knowledge, and booking functions and execute supported automations, while having more limited access to administrative areas. Viewer is designed primarily for reviewing information. Viewers can access supported read-only information but do not receive the same operational management permissions. For example, a colleague responsible for configuring business AI agents may require Member or Admin access, while someone who only needs to review available information may be better suited to Viewer. These roles are permission boundaries, not just labels displayed beside a person's name. Additional access checks, subscription limits, and enterprise-specific policies may further restrict individual actions.
