Can I see what happened during each step of an automated workflow?

Polyosync supports step-based automation execution, giving businesses a structured way to understand how an automation progresses through its configured activities. This is particularly useful for workflows that involve multiple decisions, AI Employees, integrations, or dependent actions. What kinds of steps can an automation contain? Depending on its configuration, an automation may include: - Trigger steps that initiate execution. - Conditions that determine which path to follow. - AI-assisted processing. - Delegation to another AI Employee. - Supported tool operations. - Configured business actions. Why does step-level visibility matter? Consider an automation that collects information, evaluates a condition, delegates analysis to a specialist AI Employee, and produces a result. If the final outcome is unexpected, knowing which part of the process encountered a problem is much more useful than seeing only a generic failure message. Can execution details help troubleshoot integrations? Yes. Where relevant execution details and errors are available, they can help identify whether a problem originated from a tool, a configuration issue, or another part of the process. Does Polyosync show every internal technical operation? Not necessarily. The information available depends on the execution path and what the platform records. Execution history should be treated as an operational investigation tool rather than a guarantee that every internal operation is exposed. What is the benefit for business teams? Businesses can review automated processes more systematically, investigate problems, and improve workflows without treating the entire automation as an unexplained black box. This becomes increasingly valuable as organizations automate more complex operations.
