Who can view notifications and alerts in a Polyosync workspace?

Access to operational information should reflect the responsibilities and permissions assigned to each user. Polyosync supports business workspaces and role-based access structures, allowing organizations to organize access according to their operational requirements. The visibility of a particular notification or alert depends on the relevant interface, module, and implementation. Does every employee see the same notifications? This should not be assumed. Different users may have different roles, responsibilities, and access permissions. Businesses should verify which notifications and operational records are visible to each role. What should administrators consider? Administrators should review: 1. Which employees require operational visibility. 2. Which events contain sensitive business information. 3. Which roles can access the associated module. 4. Whether the recipient has authority to act on the notification. 5. Whether the information belongs to the correct workspace. 6. Whether additional access restrictions are necessary. Can a notification grant access to a restricted module? A notification should not be treated as permission to access information or perform actions that the user's role does not authorize. Access to the underlying activity must remain subject to the relevant controls. What if an employee receives a notification but cannot open the related information? The employee should verify that they are using the correct account and workspace. An administrator may need to review the employee's assigned role and the permissions required by the relevant module. Do notifications affect workspace isolation? Notification functionality should respect workspace boundaries. Information belonging to one business should not become available to unrelated businesses through notification delivery. What if a notification contains sensitive information? The business should review whether the information is appropriate for the intended recipient. Sensitive customer or operational details should only be shared where necessary and authorized. Can external recipients receive operational information? External delivery should only be used through supported mechanisms and with appropriate authorization. Businesses should verify the recipient, content, and delivery behavior before enabling any external notification workflow. Why is permission management important? Notifications can reveal information about internal operations, customers, employees, and business activities. Their visibility therefore forms part of the organization's wider access-control responsibilities. A reliable notification process should provide useful information to authorized participants without unnecessarily exposing sensitive operational data.
