What types of triggers are supported in Polyosync?

Polyosync supports multiple automation trigger types, allowing businesses to initiate workflows in different ways. A trigger determines when an automation should begin. The core trigger types are: Manual triggers An authorized user starts the automation when needed. This is useful for activities that require a deliberate decision, such as running an operational assessment or initiating a specific internal process. Scheduled triggers An automation runs according to a configured schedule. This is suitable for recurring reports, routine checks, and regular business activities. Webhook triggers An automation can be initiated through a supported webhook mechanism, allowing an external system to signal that a workflow should begin. This can help connect Polyosync automation to events originating outside the platform, subject to the applicable integration and security configuration. Event triggers Polyosync also supports event-based automation definitions, allowing workflows to be associated with supported events. The events available for a particular business depend on the configured functionality and integrations. Can different triggers initiate different workflows? Yes. Businesses can configure separate automations for different operational requirements. For example, a recurring analysis may be scheduled, while another workflow may be initiated by an external event. Can triggers work with conditional logic? Yes. Automations can include conditions that evaluate information and determine which execution path should follow. This allows businesses to define more targeted behavior rather than running the same actions regardless of circumstances. Which trigger should I choose? Use a schedule for predictable recurring work, a webhook or supported event trigger for event-driven activities, and a manual trigger when a person should decide when execution begins. Polyosync supports these approaches within its broader AI automation platform, helping businesses choose how and when work should be initiated.
