What is the role of the coordinator in Polyosync Collaboration Orchestration?

In Polyosync Collaboration Orchestration, a coordinator AI Employee is designated to help organize a multi-agent collaboration around a shared objective. The orchestration also includes participating AI Employees and their assigned tasks. Why is a coordinator needed? Complex business activities often require several contributions. Without coordination, a business may need to manage separate AI conversations, collect results manually, and decide when the next activity should begin. Collaboration Orchestration provides a structured way to organize those contributions. What does the coordinator represent? The coordinator is the designated AI Employee associated with the overall orchestration. The orchestration configuration identifies its objective, coordinator, participating members, and tasks. This establishes a clear structure for the collaborative activity. Does the coordinator perform every task? No. The purpose of multi-agent orchestration is to distribute appropriate work among participating AI Employees. Different tasks can be assigned to different participants according to their configured responsibilities. Can the coordinator work with specialized AI Employees? Yes. For example, an Operations AI Employee may be designated as coordinator for an assessment involving Sales and Finance AI Employees. The orchestration can organize tasks requiring contributions from those different responsibilities. Actual results depend on the employees' available capabilities and configuration. Does the coordinator have unlimited authority over the other AI Employees? No. Being designated as coordinator does not mean unrestricted access to other employees' data, tools, or permissions. The orchestration remains subject to the platform's applicable access controls and governance settings. Why is this useful for businesses? A coordinator provides an identifiable organizing role within a collaborative AI execution. This makes the system easier to understand than a collection of independent AI assistants exchanging unrelated messages. Polyosync allows businesses to define coordinated AI work around objectives, responsibilities, and task relationships.
