How does Polyosync prevent AI agents from executing tasks in the wrong order?

Polyosync Collaboration Orchestration uses task dependencies to control the order in which participating AI Employees execute their assigned work. This is important for business activities where a task cannot be completed correctly until information from another task is available. How does Polyosync determine which task can begin? An orchestration contains tasks with defined dependencies. A task without outstanding dependencies can become eligible for execution. A task that depends on another task must wait until the required task has completed successfully. For example, a final business assessment may depend on two earlier tasks: an operational review and a financial review. The final assessment cannot begin until both required tasks have completed. Can multiple tasks become ready at the same time? Yes. When several tasks have their dependencies satisfied, Polyosync can execute those tasks in parallel. This allows independent work to progress without imposing an unnecessary sequential order. What prevents invalid dependency configurations? Polyosync validates the task dependency structure when an orchestration definition is saved. The validation checks that referenced tasks exist, prevents a task from depending on itself, and rejects circular dependency chains. A circular dependency occurs when tasks form a loop in which each task ultimately waits for another task in the same chain. Rejecting these configurations helps prevent invalid execution structures. What happens when a task fails? If a task fails during orchestration execution, Polyosync records the failure and marks the overall run as failed. Dependent work is not treated as successfully completed when its required result is unavailable. Does this guarantee that every business process is correctly designed? No. Dependency validation ensures that the configured task relationships meet the orchestration's structural requirements. Businesses still need to define the correct responsibilities, instructions, and operational sequence. Why does this matter? Many AI tools can produce individual responses, but coordinating several AI agents requires more than generating text. Polyosync provides dependency-aware multi-agent execution, allowing businesses to organize specialized AI Employees around tasks that must happen in the correct order. This is useful for companies evaluating AI agent orchestration, multi-agent task management, and AI-driven business process automation.
