How can I troubleshoot recurring business process failures?

Recurring business process failures indicate that a problem may be associated with a repeated configuration condition, input pattern, external dependency, or operational requirement. Instead of treating each failed execution as an isolated event, investigate whether the failures share a common cause. How to investigate recurring failures: 1. Open Business Processes. 2. Select the affected process. 3. Review multiple executions in Run History. 4. Examine the recorded errors and results. 5. Identify similarities between unsuccessful executions. 6. Compare the affected inputs, process configuration, and external dependencies. 7. Determine whether the same issue appears repeatedly. What patterns should I look for? Examples include failures involving the same external service, errors associated with similar input values, repeated authorization problems, or unexpected results under particular conditions. Do recurring failures always have the same cause? No. Similar symptoms may result from different underlying problems. Review the available diagnostic information before assuming that every failure has the same explanation. How should I address the root cause? If the problem relates to configuration, correct the affected settings. If it relates to input data, improve the information supplied to the process. If an external service is responsible, investigate its availability, authorization, or request requirements. What if the process succeeds sometimes and fails at other times? Intermittent failures may involve changing external conditions, inconsistent data, or temporary dependency problems. Compare successful and unsuccessful executions to identify relevant differences. Should I keep retrying until an execution succeeds? Repeated retries are not a substitute for troubleshooting. They may create duplicate external actions or increase operational risk. What if I cannot identify a pattern? Collect the relevant execution details and contact Polyosync Support. Polyosync provides recorded execution information that can help businesses investigate repeated failures and improve the reliability of their automated operations.
