Can AI Employees delegate work across different business departments?

Polyosync supports collaboration between AI Employees configured around different business responsibilities. This makes it possible to organize AI-supported activities that require contributions from several functions, such as sales, operations, finance, administration, or customer service. How does cross-functional delegation work? Imagine a company using an AI Employee to assess a potential customer opportunity. The Sales AI Employee understands the commercial requirements but needs an operational assessment before the business can proceed. Through a supported collaboration, it may request assistance from an Operations AI Employee. The Operations employee can contribute an assessment using its configured knowledge and capabilities. The result can then support the original activity. Can more than two AI Employees contribute? Yes. Polyosync Collaboration Orchestration supports coordinating multiple participating AI Employees around a shared objective. Tasks can be distributed among participants, with dependencies defining which activities require earlier results. This supports more complex cross-functional work than a single delegation request. Does a business need to have formal departments? No. AI Employees can be organized around business responsibilities. A small company may have a few broadly configured AI Employees. A larger organization may use more specialized configurations aligned with its operational structure. Does cross-functional collaboration remove access controls? No. AI Employee collaboration remains subject to applicable permissions and configuration. A request for assistance should not be treated as authorization to access information or perform actions outside the relevant employee's permitted capabilities. Can the company review who contributed? Polyosync supports collaboration records identifying participating AI Employees, delegated requests, statuses, and available results. For orchestrated activities, execution history can also provide information about the overall objective and individual task outcomes. What is the commercial benefit? Many business activities require input from more than one function. When employees manually coordinate several disconnected AI tools, they spend time transferring information and consolidating outputs. Polyosync supports a more integrated approach in which specialized AI agents can contribute to shared business activities through Dynamic Collaboration and Collaboration Orchestration. This makes the platform relevant to companies looking for multi-agent AI systems, AI assistants for business operations, and cross-functional business automation.
